Inspired by the five elements of nature, award-winning artist Chan Seth is pleased to present a unique series of art and yoga workshops that seek to bridge creativity and spirituality during these troubling times.
In this workshop, Seth has teamed up with Margot Broom to present you an Air-inspired yoga practice, that will help to lift your spirit and help cultivate creativity. These exercises will be followed by an easy demonstration of how to create your very own Mandala. By the end of this workshop, you will have a beautiful artwork that can hang on the walls of your home, along with fundamental drawing and painting techniques to create your own abstract artworks in the future. Through this harmony between art and yoga, you will acquire the foundation to experience more joy and mindfulness in your daily life.
This workshop will focus on the element of Air. By becoming more mindful of our thoughts and actions through breath, we will achieve the following outcomes by the end of the session:
Becoming a keen observer of your thoughts
Breath awareness to shift from outward focus to inward focus
Enabling intuition instead of logic to guide your decisions
*The workshop will last 3 hours.
*The event is online and suitable for all skill levels.
*Participants do not need to complete previous modules to join this workshop.

ABOUT THE YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Margot teaches directly from my own mat. Whatever she is working on or undergoing in her own life and practice will flow through her and into her classes. She truly believes that yoga is an extension of how we live our lives and that every challenge we encounter whether on or off the mat is meant to help us learn a deeper lesson of how we live, communicate and treat each other and ourselves.
ABOUT THE ART TEACHER
Loose, translucent textiles and ancient ceremonies form the foundation for Seth’s large abstract paintings. Seth grew up in the cosmopolitan city of Dubai, where converging nationalities and cultures led to a fascination with pluralism. Javanese Batik, Peruvian Shipibo patterns, and Tibetan Sand Mandalas have all influenced the artist’s vision, which seeks to integrate creativity and spirituality. To that end, Seth has hosted workshops that combine art, music, and yoga in partnership with organizations such as Dubai Culture, Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism, SIKKA Art Fair, Aisha Al Abbar Gallery, and Nasab KOA Canvas. He has also held talks at Heriot Watt University, Dubai and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar that challenge future generations to take creative responsibility, not just individual nations, but for the entire world. As a third generation-artist, Seth received his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Cornell University, and his work has been exhibited most recently at Dubai Design District and Kevala Foundation, India.
“My goal is to visually convey the truth of our existence. By depicting energy, I intend to capture the most fundamental unit of life, and by doing so, express unity through the idea that the same force interweaves through us all”
