Grounded4Growth is a Connecticut-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing mindfulness-based programming to communities that have historically lacked access to health and wellness activities. We passionately believe that groups such as youth, fixed-Income seniors, and individuals recovering from chronic mental health issues and addiction deserve access to these transformative practices. 

Mindfulness-based Programming cultivates the mind-body connection, fostering awareness, concentration, and self-healing abilities. By embracing bodily sensations, breath, thoughts, and emotions without judgment, individuals can tap into their inner wisdom and navigate life's challenges with balance and stability.

Operating on a blend of donations, fee-for-service partnerships, and grant funding, Grounded 4 Growth is committed to making its programs accessible to all who can benefit from them.

By addressing the specific needs of these underserved populations during transformative life stages, communities can foster inclusivity and promote awareness of self and become the catalyst for change and holistic well-being.

  1. Expanding Access to Mindfulness-based Programs: We strive to increase access to high-quality, mindfulness-based yoga instruction, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds can benefit from its transformative power.

  2. Raising Awareness: We aim to expand awareness of the myriad benefits and value of mindfulness-based practices, promoting its integration into daily life for enhanced well-being.

  3. Building a Diverse Teacher Pool: We are committed to creating a diverse and highly qualified yoga teacher pool. Our instructors specialize in providing yoga instruction that is not only accessible but also culturally relevant to all individuals, fostering inclusivity and connection.

  4. Fostering Community Engagement: Grounded 4 Growth seeks to foster community engagement by creating inclusive spaces where individuals can come together to support each other on their wellness journeys. Through community events, workshops, and partnerships, we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging and interconnectedness, empowering individuals to thrive collectively.

Grounded 4 Growth is partnering with Breathing Room Yoga Center to provide mindfulness practices, including yoga and meditation, offering a holistic approach to wellness to address physical and mental health needs.


Our Offerings

 
  • In our healthy aging class tailored for aging bodies, we offer a gentle and accessible approach to yoga, focusing on promoting mobility, flexibility, and relaxation. Here's what you can expect:

    Join us to experience the rejuvenating benefits of Chair Yoga, tailored specifically for aging bodies. All Instructors are Silver Age® Certified- based on geriatric science.

    G4G: Chair Yoga 4 Healthy Aging

    • Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

    G4G: Yoga Nidra 4 All

    • Wednesdays 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

 
  • In Yoga 4 SMART Recovery, all are welcome, including loved ones and those curious about working on their recovery from addictive patterns of all kinds. This is a peer lead meeting and we encourage discussion and group sharing. This practice is part meditation, part supportive share, and lasts 60 minutes. Join us in creating a safe, supportive community.
