Ayurveda is the oldest practiced form of healthcare in the world and often heralded as the sister-science to the yoga practice. Through this introductory weekend, we will explore the foundational principles of this ancient practice so that students can begin to apply them into their lives and classes. Our sessions will include learning about what Ayurveda is, how it was developed, the pancha mahabhutas, the doshas, prakriti/vikriti, dinacharya, dosha pacifying practices and foods.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Lauren is a 500hr RYT and Ayurvedic Practitioner. Lauren has trained and taught in New York City, India, at Kripalu Center. Lauren found yoga and Ayurveda through her own journey searching for inner peace and personal healing. Sharing these learnings with others has become the greatest gift to her. Lauren strives to teach in a way that is approachable and accessible to all people. She believes that simple shifts can make big changes in our everyday life.
