Happy February!

I hope you’re finding ways to enjoy the winter months and those of you here in CT, enjoy the snow! I also want to congratulate many members of our yoga community who are finishing up their 40-day reset/ sadhana of meditation and yoga! I know how wonderful it feels to commit to daily practice, even if some days don’t happen as anticipated. It has been such a joy having weekly check-ins and being in a virtual community together! I hope this has inspired daily practice for you to go beyond these 40 days to create a new healthy habit of self-care and love!

The monthly mantra that I am sitting with this February comes directly from the warm fuzzies I got from witnessing these community members make such deep commitments to themselves and the practice. It has really got me thinking about individual self-care and how important it is for mental, physical, and emotional health. So the mantra this month is just that, Self Care

I encourage you to take a few moments at the beginning of each day or week to be quiet enough to ask yourself what would be supportive for self-care this day or week. It can be as simple as a good cup of tea in the morning, planning when you can take a yoga class, opening up a favorite book and reading a brief passage, putting a face mask on (the fun, muddy kind), and relaxing, or maybe plan for a bath or a brisk walk in the cold. Planning something for yourself, no matter how small, in and of itself is an act of self-care. So try it out. Give yourself some love!
