Two-Day Virtual Workshop with Judith Hanson Lasater and Lizzie Lasater
No doubt we are living in stressful times. Even so, we are so lucky to have the practice of yoga as a potent tool to help us cope, and maybe even thrive and grow right now, regardless of the outer world’s conditions.
This online workshop will focus on the power of our practice to affect our mental, emotional, and physical health. In these two-hour sessions we will discuss the deepest teachings of yoga, and how we can use them to let go of our relentless mind and step into the present. We will learn tools for recognizing our emotions, then naming them, and finally receiving them as messages from our unconscious mind. And we will spend part of each session practicing asana so that we can embody yoga in our body and find a way to release deeply held stress.
The last part of the second session will be a long Savasana led by Judith. Above all, our goal is to learn real tools to help us “live our yoga” every day, on our mat and in the world. Join us to hear, digest, and live this yoga we love so much.
ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D., PT, yoga teacher since 1971, and author of 10 books on yoga. Her co-teacher will be her daughter, Lizzie Lasater, yoga teacher and designer.

This is a 2-part virtual workshop and may count as Yoga Alliance CEUs. You will receive the Zoom link prior to the first session. The recordings will be available for one month if you cannot attend live or would like to watch the replay.
Required Text: Living Your Yoga by Judith Hanson Lasater. Please read the chapter on Impermanence before the workshop. Book is available for purchase at the Breathing Room boutique.
Highly suggested props so that you can practice with us: 5 firm yoga blankets (especially Mexican cotton blankets), 1 firm bolster, 2 “fat” foam yoga blocks, 1 sticky mat, and an eye cover of some kind.
