Mixed Level Vinyasa

Mixed level vinyasa is a smooth practice that flows from one posture to the next with an emphasis on safe alignment, fluidity and connection to breath. Class is designed to build your relationship to the self, physically and mentally, through a mindfulness practice of moment to moment awareness without judgement or expectation. Class builds off of the poses to create a fun, fluid and creative flow that often works towards a peak pose or theme. The teacher will give modifications to support newer students, as well as options to increase intensity for more seasoned practitioners. Expect to try and learn something new in this mixed level class! All levels are welcome! However, if you are newer to yoga we recommend taking a couple Foundations or Candlelit classes first to help you feel more comfortable with the poses and transitions.

Form & Flow

This class is an education in the proper alignment and anatomy of yoga postures. Proper alignment ignites freedom to explore the breath and the body. Students will be guided through challenging sequences, creating a fluidity in the practice while exploring form and breath. All levels of students are welcome and modifications will be given to ensure that everyone is able to participate.

Dynamic Hatha Flow

This mixed-level class is a blend of a few different styles of yoga. You’ll generally find Katonah style practices with some pranayama often inspired by Kundalini. It is a strong practice peppered with more gentle openings to create balance and fluidity. We work to become more skillful in our asana, focusing on safe alignment, orienting our bodies by keeping the architecture sound. With that comes better awareness of breath, prana and how to allow the torso to become more spacious and open from the support of the base. The practice is great to increase strength, agility and grace, not only in our bodies but also in our minds/thoughts and even the way we breathe.

Gentle Yoga

This gentle class is a time to unwind from the day. The practice incorporates gentle grounded movement, restorative poses, mindful breathing, and guided relaxation. Students have the opportunity to slow down, delve deeper into poses, and release tension from body and mind. This is a great class to prepare for meditation or a good night’s sleep, or as a recharge in the middle of your day! Open to all levels and those new to yoga.

This is our beginners class that teaches the foundations of a yoga practice, including basic yoga postures, breathing, yoga philosophy, and mindfulness. Class is designed for those brand new to yoga or current students who want to return to the basics of the practice. The class is guided with kindness and compassion at a slower pace, allowing time to move in and out of practices to build comfort, stability and confidence. The Foundations class is great for students interested in learning something new or exploring new connections to your mind and body.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a slow grounded class that focuses on rest and relaxation. The class is comprised of 4-5 poses held from anywhere between 5-10 minutes each. Students are supported by props so the body can be comfortable, shifting the nervous system into a “rest and digest” state that is deeply rejuvenating. This practice helps to draw your attention inward, creating a sanctuary from the over-stimulation of daily life. The teacher may offer a blend of additional perks, including sound healing, essential oils, and Reiki. This class is open to anyone who needs a little quiet TLC. No yoga experience is necessary.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where postures are held for longer periods of time, typically 3-5 minutes. These postures help in stretching connective tissue around the joints like the knees, pelvis, sacrum, spine and help to access the deeper layers of fascia. The long hold times of this practice offer the chance to sit with our emotions and can help us become more resilient to stress.

Yoga Nidra

Considered the highest practice of self care, Yoga Nidra translates to "sleep with awareness," and is beneficial on many levels, allowing us to rest in peace and supreme stillness that ushers in relaxation, healing and even manifestation. The practice is usually done laying down, using props to support the body so that you can become comfortable and still. You will then be guided through the Yoga Nidra and only need to follow the teacher’s voice with your awareness. No prior yoga experience necessary.

Heated Vinyasa (Level 2)

In a warmed room, this class is an invigorating vinyasa practice based on rhythmic breathing paired with carefully chosen postures to prepare the practitioner for exploring challenging options within the progressive flow. Cultivating the skill of mindful movement will help sharpen your senses and develop inner awareness. As you become stronger and hone your alignment, you may be able to move deeper into challenging poses and develop a sense of ease in your practice. The room is warmed to support your practice, but is not “hot."

Power Flow Vinyasa (Level 2/3)

Power is a high-energy, advanced level vinyasa practice. In class we move through a vigorous, creative, and high endurance practice concentrating on strength and devotion within the body. If you like to rock out with fun music, challenge yourself with advanced postures and sweat, you will enjoy Power!

This class is for students with advanced asana practice. For your safety, please have at least one year of yoga practice experience before trying Power.

Happy Power Hour

This is an energetic flow style class that brings warmth into the body. Students will be guided into fun and challenging sequences to help the body unwind from a long work week. Attention to breath and alignment will be the foundation on which the student can build mindfulness and  heat through their movement. Modifications are always given to help the students find what works best for their body that day.

Guided Meditation

Guided meditation is a time of self reflection and connection as well as an invitation for peace, harmony and clarity between the internal and external worlds that are within us all. We focus on allowing the breath, body, mind, heart and spirit to connect with the elements, chakras and healing. This class can be an introduction to meditation for beginners and also help students become acquainted with setting up a regular meditation practice in their daily lives.

Prenatal Yoga

This class is designed specifically for the needs and changes of the pregnant body. Practicing prenatal yoga is associated with a range of physical and mental health benefits for expectant mothers, including boosting strength, flexibility, and balance; easing pregnancy-related discomforts; and knowing how to rest deeply and rejuvenate. Join other mothers-to-be in a mindful practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation practices that will help you prepare for labor, delivery and the first critical years of motherhood. No previous experience with yoga or meditation necessary. Women at all stages of pregnancy are welcome.

Meditative Flow

Meditative Flow moves through a slowed-down vinyasa style practice, with emphasis on gaining strength and flexibility in body and mind -- a form of meditation through movement. In this class, awareness will be on breath and subtle sensations, allowing you to get out of your mind and into the physical and energetic body. This is an all-levels class with modifications offered, as well as advanced postures for those who want to challenge themselves.

Kundalini Yoga

This is a practice that is truly for every body - if you can breathe, you can be here. Kundalini Yoga as brought to us by Yogi Bhajan is a sophisticated technology in which he indexed ancient wisdom into prescriptive bitesize pieces we call, kriyas. Kriyas are a complete “set” that uses dynamic movement, breathwork, mantra and meditation to reach every realm of who we are. Kundalini simply means life force energy - this is what we are activating in this practice. Kundalini Yoga works from the inside out, allowing us to efficiently become more vibrant, more radiant, have more mental & physical strength, and ultimately more sovereignty in our lives. Every class is a journey, reaching every level of being, and accessing tools for living along the way, and in this journey - you are in the driver’s seat.
